Ck45 is a carbon structural steel, also known as 1045 steel, which belongs to the commonly used medium carbon steel type. It has medium strength and good mechanical properties, and is suitable for the manufacture of mechanical parts with medium load and medium strength requirements.
The chemical composition of Ck45 mainly includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) and other elements. Among them, the carbon content is high, between about 0.42% and 0.50%, which determines its medium carbon characteristics. The content of silicon and manganese is moderate, which is conducive to improving the strength and toughness of steel. Ck45 steel also has good machinability and weldability.
Ck45 steel can be heat treated to change its structure and properties. Common heat treatment methods include normalizing, quenching and tempering. Normalizing can improve the hardness and strength of the steel, quenching can obtain higher hardness, but also cause the material to become brittle, so it needs to be tempered to reduce brittleness and improve toughness.
Ck45 is widely used in mechanical manufacturing, such as shafts, gears, dowels, connecting rods, crankshafts and hydraulic parts. It is also commonly used to manufacture parts such as nuts, bolts, housings and bushings. Ck45 steel generally conforms to the German standard DIN 17200 "Technical delivery conditions for hot rolled steel plates, steel rods and billets" or the Chinese standard GB/T 699-2015 "High quality carbon Structural steel" and so on.
