ASTM A335 is the standard specification for seamless alloy steel pipe for high temperature service. It covers sever grades: P1, P2, P5, P5b, P5c, P9, P11, P12, P15, P21, P22, P23, P91, P92, P122, out of which P5, P9, P11, P22, P91, and P92 are most widely utilized in practice.
P1, P2, P5, P5b, and P5c are low alloy steel pipes with relatively low chromium content.
P9 is a medium-low alloy steel pipe with high chromium and molybdenum content.
P11, P12, and P15 are medium alloy steel pipes with moderate amounts of chromium, molybdenum, and iron.
P21, P22, and P23 are high alloy steel pipes with higher levels of chromium, molybdenum, and iron.
P91 and P92 are special high alloy steel pipes with very high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and iron, suitable for high temperature and high pressure working conditions.
P122 is a secondary hardening alloy steel pipe with extremely high strength and corrosion resistance.
P911 alloy steel pipe is mainly used in high temperature and high pressure environments, such as the petroleum industry, chemical industry, and thermal power stations.
